Fees and Charges

What fees can I expect to pay?

Ticket Fees and Transaction Fees

There are two primary types of fees that may apply to an INTIX ticket purchase:

Ticket fee

A ticket fee is a fee that applies to each ticket purchased. The amount and whether the fee is charged separately or included in the ticket price depends on the event organiser's agreement with INTIX.

Where a ticket fee applies, it will be clearly displayed during the checkout process so customers can see the ticket price and any applicable fees before completing their purchase.

Transaction fee

A transaction fee is a fee associated with processing the overall order, rather than each individual ticket.

Whether a transaction fee is charged to the customer depends on the event organiser, market and applicable pricing requirements. In some markets or for some events, the organiser may choose to absorb the transaction fee as part of their event costs rather than pass it on to customers.

The underlying payment processing cost can vary depending on factors such as the payment method, card type and payment processor. For this reason, there is no single transaction fee that applies to every cart at checkout.

What do the fees cover?

Ticketing fees contribute towards the costs associated with providing and operating the ticketing service, including:

  • Operating and maintaining the online ticketing platform
  • Processing and managing ticket purchases
  • Providing ticket delivery and access services
  • Payment processing and related infrastructure
  • Customer support and service
  • Providing the systems and technology required to manage ticket sales and event attendance

Pricing and fees by region

INTIX operates across several markets, and fee structures can vary depending on the event, organiser and local requirements.

Australia: Event organisers are responsible for determining how applicable ticketing and service costs are incorporated into their pricing. From 1 October 2026, transaction fees for Visa, Mastercard, American Express and eftpos payments will no longer be permitted under the relevant card-network rules. Card processing costs may instead be incorporated into the overall price of the ticket or service. Other types of fees, such as booking or service fees, are not automatically prohibited by these changes and remain subject to applicable pricing and consumer-law requirements.

United Kingdom: Mandatory fees must generally be included in the total price presented to customers upfront. This includes mandatory per-transaction charges that a customer must pay to complete their purchase.

United States: For live-event tickets, businesses must generally disclose the total price upfront, including mandatory fees that are known and can be calculated at the time the price is displayed. Certain charges, such as taxes, government charges, shipping and optional services, may be treated differently under the applicable rules.

New Zealand: Ticket sellers and event organisers must provide clear and accurate information about ticket prices, fees and the terms of sale. Customers should be able to understand the total cost and any applicable fees before completing their purchase.

Because requirements can vary by market and event, the fees displayed during checkout are the most accurate representation of the amount payable for a particular ticket purchase.

Other Fees

  • Name change - Changing the name on a ticket is subject to a per-ticket fee. This fee will vary depending on the event and are agreed between the relevant event partner and INTIX.
  • Resale fee - Reselling a ticket is subject to a per-ticket fee. Once again, these fees vary depending on the agreement between INTIX and the event organiser, and cover the costs of generating new tickets and customer support.
