Why can't I see the "Add to Apple Wallet" or "Add to Google Wallet" button?
The wallet button you see depends on the device and web browser you're using. If you don't see a button, you're most likely on a browser that doesn't support adding passes directly.
Your membership or ticket can be added to:
- Apple Wallet – for iPhone, iPad, and Mac users
- Google Wallet – for Android users and Google Chrome users
To keep things simple, the portal shows you the button that matches your device. So you'll normally see one button, not both.
Why Don't I See a Wallet Button?
If your device or browser doesn't support adding a wallet pass directly, you'll see a link to this help article instead of an Add to Wallet button.
This can happen if:
- You're using a browser that doesn't support wallet passes, such as Firefox or another less common desktop browser.
- You're viewing the portal inside an in-app browser (for example, from Facebook, Instagram, or some email apps), which may restrict wallet functionality.
- Your browser is out of date and doesn't support digital wallet passes.
How to Add Your Pass
Apple Wallet (iPhone, iPad or Mac)
- Open your membership portal in Safari.
- Select Add to Apple Wallet.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to save your pass.
Google Wallet (Android or Computer)
- Open your membership portal in Google Chrome.
- Select Add to Google Wallet.
- Follow the prompts to save your pass.
If you're using Google Chrome on a computer, your Google Wallet pass will automatically sync to your Android phone when you're signed in with the same Google account.
Open the Portal in a Supported Browser
If you've opened the portal from within another app (such as an email app, Facebook, Instagram, or another messaging application), you may need to open it in your device's web browser first.
- Tap the More (⋯) or Share icon.
- Select Open in Browser.
- Open the page in:
- Safari (for Apple Wallet)
- Google Chrome (for Google Wallet)
- Tap the relevant Add to Wallet button.
Troubleshooting Apple Wallet
If tapping Add to Apple Wallet doesn't work, try the following troubleshooting steps.
1. Make Sure You're Using the Safari App
If you opened the link from an email (such as Gmail or Outlook) or from a text message, you may still be viewing the page inside a built-in browser, even if it looks like Safari.
Try one of the following:
- Look for a compass icon or Open in Safari option and tap it.
- Alternatively, copy the website address, open the standalone Safari app, paste the link into the address bar, sign in again, and try adding your pass.
2. Disable Content or Ad Blockers
Some content blockers or privacy extensions can prevent the wallet pass from downloading.
To temporarily disable them:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Apps > Safari > Extensions.
- Turn off any content blockers or ad-blocking extensions.
- Return to the portal and refresh the page before trying again.
3. Clear Safari Website Data
Occasionally, cached website data can prevent the Add to Apple Wallet button from responding.
To clear your Safari data:
- Open Settings.
- Navigate to Apps > Safari.
- Tap Clear History and Website Data.
- Select All History.
- Tap Clear History.
- Reopen the membership portal and try again.
4. Restart Safari and Your iPhone
A temporary iOS issue can sometimes prevent Safari from handing the pass over to Apple Wallet.
Close the apps
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle.
- Swipe up on both Safari and Wallet to close them.
Restart your iPhone
For iPhones with Face ID:
- Press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
- Press and quickly release the Volume Down button.
- Press and hold the Side Button until the Apple logo appears.
Once your phone has restarted, try adding the pass again.
5. Try an Alternative Method
If the button is still not responding:
- Rotate your phone into landscape orientation, then try tapping the button again.
- Alternatively, open the portal in Google Chrome or Firefox on your iPhone and try downloading the pass from there. Although Safari is recommended, another browser may successfully trigger the download.
